Overview

This Code of Conduct has been created to provide a basic understanding of what is, and is not allowed throughout all areas of the WBTC Forum. The Code of Conduct outlines the rules we ask you to follow to ensure that this remains a valuable and enjoyable space for everyone who chooses to participate. Each of the boards will be monitored. Should you encounter a violation please report it by contacting the specific moderator of the board you are using.

The Code of Conduct has been establishment to:

•   Ensure a friendly atmosphere to forum members and visitors.
•   Ensure the privacy of our members and that of others.
•   Encourage responsible use of the forum, and to discourage activities which may disrupt the online community.
•   Encourage freedom of expression and the exchange of information in a mature and responsible manner.

Protecting Yourself and Your Family

We strongly caution you not to post personal information such as your complete name, address, telephone number, school names, social security number, password, etc. on the board. This type of information can be used for illegal or harmful purposes. Members and guests are responsible for the content their posts.

Welcoming Newcomers

When newcomers arrive, welcome them to our growing community. Many of our community's "elders" (regardless of age) have a wealth of knowledge and much to share. Help new members learn about how to find information and resources.

Use of the Forum

•Please take private conversations or topics of conversations not related to this board to the email environment rather than posting them here.
•   Respect the board and its posters. Do not post inflammatory messages. There is no need to insult another poster. Racial, ethnic, sexual and/or gender based insults, and slurs will not be tolerated. Additionally, no pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene posts will be permitted.
•   Do not spam the board. (The term is outlined below)
•   Solicitations and/or sales promotions are not allowed to be posted to this board.
•   Please post messages that are on-topic. Look over the entire message board for a similar thread/topic before making a new post. We do not want a board full of threads that discuss the same thing. When creating a new post, please be as descriptive as possible with the subject line. Descriptive titles reduce the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don’t want to read. Please give your subject lines a title that clearly conveys the subject of your message. This allows other members to quickly locate messages that pertain to subjects they are interested in discussing. Many people do not have the time to read every message, so they rely on the subject line to tell them if the issue/question is something they may wish to contribute to. Example: Rather than titling your post, “I Need Help Please!” or “What Does this Mean?” try something descriptive, like “How do I add a Font?” or “What is your Opinion on Positive Thinking?” That way the subject matter is narrowed down and others can see if it is something they wish to discuss or help with.
•   Please do not share your password or security information with anyone else. Instead, encourage people to sign up for their own membership.  You are responsible for whatever is posted with your member name and password.
